In short
Chakaap gives a lending or finance team a dedicated intake address and an AI agent behind it. Loan applications, bank statements, salary certificates, ledger exports and approval emails sent to it are read and turned into structured data, checked against rules you configure (completeness, limits, mismatches), and routed or drafted for the next person. Every action is recorded in an audit trail for review.
Where the time goes
A single loan file can hold an application form, identity documents, several months of bank statements, a salary certificate or financial statements, and a chain of emails. Credit officers and operations staff open each one, copy figures into a spreadsheet or core system, chase what is missing and summarise it for approval.
Month-end is similar: exports from different systems are compared by hand, differences are investigated by email, and reports are assembled from the results.
What Chakaap does
- Intake: receives applications, statements and exports at a dedicated address, or from the inbox your team already uses.
- Extraction: turns documents into structured fields: applicant details, income, monthly credits and debits, balances, totals.
- Checks: applies the rules you set: is every required document present, does stated income match the statements, is the requested amount within the limit for this product?
- Reconciliation support: compares figures across exports and lists the items that do not match, so people investigate exceptions rather than every line.
- Drafting and routing: prepares a summary for the credit officer, a request for missing documents, or a note to the reporting team.
- Record: writes every step to an audit trail.
A worked example
A small business loan application for NPR 2,500,000 arrives with an application form, three months of bank statements and a tax clearance certificate. The product rules you configured ask for six months of statements.
| Step | What Chakaap does | What is recorded |
|---|---|---|
| Receive | Opens the email and its attachments | Sender, time, files received |
| Extract | Reads monthly credits from the statements and the figures on the form | Each figure with the document and page it came from |
| Check | Only three of six months are present; average monthly credits are 30% below the turnover stated on the form | Which rules ran and which fired |
| Act | Drafts a request for the remaining statements and a summary for the credit officer that flags the turnover difference | The draft, the summary and the reasons |
| Review | The credit officer edits and approves the request | Who approved, and when |
The credit officer starts from a summary with the gaps already found, instead of a folder of PDFs.
Who uses it
- Credit and lending operations: application intake, document completeness checks and summaries for credit officers.
- Finance and accounts teams: comparing exports, listing exceptions and preparing month-end notes.
- Reporting teams: collecting figures from the documents and exports that arrive by email, with each figure traceable to its source.
- Operations managers: seeing what arrived, what is waiting and who has it, without asking around the team.
Start with one workflow that hurts most, such as missing documents on loan files, and add others once the rules and approvals are set the way your team works.
Control and review
Chakaap does not approve loans, move money or post entries on its own. You choose which actions it may take automatically and which wait for approval. Because each extracted figure is stored with its source, a reviewer or auditor can trace a number back to the document it came from.
Questions
Does Chakaap approve loans or move money?
No. It reads documents, extracts figures, checks them against your rules and prepares the next step. Credit decisions and any movement of money stay with your people and systems.
Can it help with reconciliation?
Yes. Given exports from two systems, it can compare the figures and list the items that do not match, so your team investigates exceptions rather than every line.
Do we need to replace our core system?
No. Chakaap starts with the channels your team already uses, such as email, and prepares structured data and drafts for your existing systems.
How can an auditor check what it did?
Every action is recorded: what arrived, what was extracted and from where, which rule fired, what was drafted or routed, and who approved it.
Is Chakaap available now?
Chakaap is in early access: it is being rolled out to a small group of institutions, features arrive over the coming weeks, and we set up every early-access account with you personally.
